Santorini

Today we had to ourselves, so we took the local bus out of Fira to Oia.  As most of you know, we are Marriott/Westin Owners and we wanted to check out the Westins Mystique Resort.  The Mystic is the largest resort on the island.  We are for a tour and were not disappointed.  This place is unreal.  In the picture the building with a cream color is the resort.  You have to walk down quite a few stairs to get to the lobby, no less your room.  It's carved into the Caldera Cliffs with breathtaking views.  All the suites and villas face the Aegean Sea.  If we ever go back, we both said this is where we are staying.  The resort is exclusive to the guests.

Took our last stroll in Oia and headed back to the hotel.

This evening, we were treated to a nice dinner in Megalochori.  Megalochori is noted as being one of the most picturesque of the island.  A prominent feature of the historical homes and mansions are the high walls, inner couryards and solid wooden door entrances, built for privacy and for safety against marauding pirates.
